Kentucky Encroachment Permit Bond (State Highway Right-of-Way)
What it is & who requires it
Any person or company causing an encroachment in, on, or over a state-maintained highway right-of-way, who must obtain a KYTC encroachment permit and post a performance bond (or cashier’s check) before the work. Governmental agencies and public utilities may instead seek self-insured status (form TC 99-8).
Obligee: Commonwealth of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways (District office where the work is located, or Central Office for statewide permits). Bond amount
