Term: Continuous — the certification agreement runs for the period covered by the bond and its renewals. The surety may cancel only on not less than forty-five days' written notice, and the bond carries a one-year guaranty period.
Renewal: The contractor licence is renewed annually by application; the bond must be maintained continuously for as long as the licence is held.
Filing
Deposited with the Lummi Tribal Sewer and Water District as a condition of your licence as a side sewer or water line contractor on the Lummi Reservation. The District sets the amount at $10,000 and its code requires a surety bond approved by the Board — no cash or letter-of-credit substitute is published for the contractor bond. The surety must appear on the U.S. Treasury Circular 570 list and be authorised to transact business in Washington. Applicants must also hold a Lummi Tribal business licence and carry general liability coverage. Authority is Lummi Code of Laws § 16.11.030.
