Any person making excavations in, or installing/repairing surface improvements within, a Long Beach public street or right-of-way under a Public Works excavation permit. Distinct from the published long-beach-grading-permit-bond.

Bond amount

A surety bond equal to twice the estimated cost of the work, minimum $1,000, minimum duration one year (LBMC 14.08.050); a separate bond equal to 125 percent of the estimated cost of restoring the right-of-way is required for excavations adjacent to the ROW (LBMC 14.08.340).
